To those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake
The earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula on January 1, 2024 reportedly caused extensive damage, and we assume that some members of the Phonological Society in the area may have suffered damage to their homes or universities.
The Phonological Society has therefore decided to waive the annual membership fee for the current year (2024) for those members who have suffered damage. Members who wish to be exempted from the annual membership fee should contact the Society's Secretariat (Secretary General: Kuwamoto or Treasurer: Ueta, see the newsletter for contact details). No documents are required to prove the damage.
